Hiadeous, Ninjas, and Worship?
Holy smokes....my blog has gone from lame to flat-out depressing.
For whatever it's worth, I tried to blog about what I got for Christmas, but the blog-o-ninjas did not approve.
It doesn't matter anyway. What does matter is shaking the dust off this thing and sharing the good stuff.
----
Last weekend, Finn, J-Reeezy, Douglas, and myself had a great time rocking out some worship for our children's preteen camp at Pineywoods. Each set felt really good. It was awesome getting to bond and mesh instrumentally with these guys. The 'theme song' was Everyday by Hillsong and tied in very well with the overall message.
----
We have a Nacogdoches-wide all worship night coming up on March 11th. Our youth pastor, Danny, and a lot of the other churches in town just returned from a successful winter retreat and want to continue to have the multi-church interaction between the students. The set will include anywhere from 8 to 12 songs (depending on what we pick) and will more than likely be streaming. Correction: if Justin is present, video WILL BE streaming.
----
I would really like to start recording again. I have 2 or 3 new tunes that I'm ready to lay down and I could use a little encouragement to get things rolling. It's quite a hassle to do everything (writing, arranging, tracking, mixing, mastering, producing, etc) by yourself, but I know the end product will be something that I will hold great pride in.
More importantly, hopefully YOU would enjoy listening. I am going to start circulating some rough demos/lyrics around to a few folks and would love to hear your opinions/feedback/constructive criticism. Leave me a comment if you would like your name added to the list.
Who knows? Maybe I'll get a call from Joel Houston......
-Peace
